Many believers enjoy the many tools in Lifeline as part of their daily Quiet Time routine. Many of us also enjoy Tapes that were preached on this day.
From either the Quote Of The Day or the On This Day page, select a Tape preached on this day, and that will open that Tape in The Table app.
Have you ever wanted to re-mark a post as "new" on Lifeline, so that it would remind you to watch it again later?
If you have, here is a feature that can do just that:
- Open Lifeline
- Press and hold one of the audio thumbnail squares that does not have a "new" tag.
- Slide your finger upwards onto the little watch icon that appears.
- Lift your finger off the screen, and that audio post will now be marked as "new" again.
Marking as "new" can be done on any audio, video, wallpaper, or On This Day post that is on the main screen of Lifeline.
Note: The new tag that you added can be removed in the same way. Simply, hold down on the thumbnail, and use the "mark as listened" option that appears.
Use the Autoplay Audio setting in the Lifeline application to autoplay the Quote Of The Day and other audio content. When you open an Audio post, Quote of The Day or Podcast, the audio will automatically begin playing without having to press the play button.
How To Turn On Autoplay Audio:
- To turn on Autoplay, scroll down and select Settings at the bottom of the application home screen.
- Scroll down to Autoplay Audio and select yes.
- When you open audio content, it will automatically begin to play.
You can quickly get to The Voice Radio from your device home screen.
Simply hold down on the Lifeline app icon. Several quick options will appear, including one that opens directly to The Vocie Radio.
Do you ever want to re-listen to a Tape you heard on The Voice Radio but cannot remember the title or date code?
While in The Voice Radio, you can view The Voice Radio play schedule by selecting the bell icon. Scrolling up allows you to view the last eight Tapes played. If it was played fairly recently, you will be able to find the title and date code by comparing it to the schedule time.
You can set a reminder to be notified before an upcoming Tape starts on The Voice Radio.
While in The Voice Radio, select the bell icon to open the schedule.
Once the schedule is open, you will see another bell icon to the right of the date code and title of upcoming Tapes. Select it be notified before The Tape starts.

Selecting the cloud icon while in The Voice Radio schedule allows you to download audio files to be played when offline. If the audio file is not found on your device, the cloud icon will appear light gray. Once the audio file has been downloaded, or is already stored on your internal memory or SD card, the cloud icon will appear green to signify is available to play offline.

If you are listening to a Tape playing on The Voice Radio and would like to follow along in the text and make notes and highlights, use the continue in Table app option.
This allows The Table app to take over playing the Tape and will automatically advance you to the corresponding text of the currently playing audio if Read Along mode is turned on in The Table app. If Read Along is not turned on, it will open to the beginning of the Tape while continuing to play the audio. You will have to manually scroll to find the spot in the text.
Note: You must return to The Voice Radio when the Tape is finished playing. The Table app will not automatically switch to the next Tape in the schedule.
To use Continue In Table App:
- While the Voice Radio is open, select the menu icon(three bars) in the bottom of the screen.
- Select continue in Table App.
- The Table app will open and take over playing the Tape, automatically advancing you to the corresponding text of the currently playing audio if Read Along is turned on.
For more details instructions on using continue in table app, please see: Continue In Table App

If you are playing The Voice Radio using air pods or wireless headphones with a mic and hear a quote you would like to view later, you can say, "Hey Siri, take a screen shot." The Voice Radio will continue to play while capturing an image of the time stamp of where you are at in the Message currently playing. The image saves to your photos.
This is a convenient way to mark quotes you would like to return back to later in The Table app.
If you would like to play upcoming Tapes listed on The Voice Radio from your Apple Watch without your phone present, please follow these directions: How To Play Audio From Your Apple Watch Without Your iPhone Present
Note: Audio is synced from your Apple Music app, not The Voice Radio.
