Installing Windows updates fixes many Table app install issues.
Delete the settings file located in C:/Users/Username/AppData/Local/VGR/User Data.
For easier access to the User Data folder, open Windows Explorer by selecting Windows + E, and copy this shortcut into the search bar: %localappdata%/VGR/User Data
If deleting the settings file does not fix the problem, please contact your local VGR office.
This may be caused by the OneDrive sync client. The solution is to disable OneDrive sync specifically for the desktop folder.
To disable:
- Go to the Notification area and right click on the OneDrive icon.
- Select Settings.
- Select the Backup tab.
- Select Manage Backup.
- In the Manage folder backup dialog, select the Stop backup link for Desktop.
- Select Stop backup once again to confirm you would like to do so.
- The Browse For Folder dialog should now display all of the available folders.
The Table Windows app functions much like the mobile Table apps, providing the same ease of use.
It also provides the ability to receive app and text updates quickly, along with the ability to download foreign languages. Currently, there are over sixty languages available to download, and we are continuing to add more.
At this time, there are no plans to update The Table 2010.
The Windows app functions much like the Android mobile app with a couple differences.
- The Windows app includes a Presentation Mode which allows you to open the subtitle viewer in a separate window to be used with a projector or second screen.
- The Windows app includes a translation tool which allows you to select foreign text and view the English translation.
- At this time, the Windows app does not allow you to export audio clips.
Quotes cannot be printed directly from The Table Windows app. Please copy the quotes into a text document to print them out.
To copy quotes:
- Select the text you would like to copy.
- An Options button will appear in the top, left corner of the screen. Please select it.
- Select copy.
- Open a Word doc or email and select ctrl+v to paste in the text field.
